South Park is an animated satirical series broadcast on Comedy Central. Its parent company describes Comedy Central as “a comedy brand with a focus on adult animation and late-night programming.”

This page is unusually thin because its subject’s own site could not be read. southparkstudios.com, southpark.cc.com and cc.com/shows/south-park all redirect an automated client to southpark.de, the German-language edition, which is not a source for facts about the U.S. programme. Paramount Skydance’s Form 10-K does not mention the series at all — the string “South Park” does not appear in it.

Removed: the founded: 1997 value; the reach line “1-2 million viewers per episode”; the “six-day production” claim; the named episodes (“Vote or Die,” “Douche and Turd,” the “ManBearPig” series, the “PC Principal” arc) with their dates and readings; the claims that the show “revolutionized political satire,” that its “treatment of political issues affects public understanding,” that “episodes often anticipate political developments,” and that it “influenced [a] generation of comedians”; an “Academic and Critical Analysis” section asserting that political scientists study the show’s effect on political attitudes, without naming a single study; and a criticism section listing “cynicism concerns” and “false equivalency” accusations with no critic named.

The matt-stone and trey-parker creator connections have also been removed — not because the attribution is doubted, but because neither slug resolves to a page in this knowledge base and no fetched source states it. They should be restored together with people pages and a first-party credit.
