By accessing modpol.org (Modern Politics), you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.

Permitted Use

The site’s writing and structured data are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license (CC BY-SA 4.0). You may share and adapt them, including commercially, provided you:

• credit Modern Politics and link back to the page you drew from,
• indicate whether you changed anything, and
• share alike — release any adaptation under CC BY-SA 4.0 or a compatible license.

The software that builds the site is separate, and is released under the MIT License.

User Responsibilities

• Do not attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the site or related services.
• Do not use automated scraping tools that exceed reasonable request limits or bypass access controls.
• Respect privacy by refraining from submitting personal data without consent when suggesting edits or sharing sources.

Third-Party Images

Photographs and logos on entity and event pages are not ours to license. Each is hosted elsewhere — most often Wikimedia Commons — and carries its own terms. Every one is recorded with its author, source, license, and a link to the source page, and that credit is shown beneath the image on the page that uses it.

If you reuse an image, follow the license shown for that image, not the site’s license. Trademarks, logos, and service marks remain the property of their owners; their appearance here is descriptive and does not imply endorsement or grant any right to use them.

Intellectual Property

Modern Politics holds copyright in its original writing and design assets, and licenses that writing to the public under the terms in Permitted Use above. The site’s name and wordmark are not covered by that license and may not be used in a way that suggests endorsement of, or affiliation with, a reuse.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any part of the site if we detect misuse, security threats, or violations of these terms.
