Modern Politics is an experimental solo project, but contributions and feedback are welcome. If you notice gaps, errors, or have relevant sources to share, there are a few ways to help.
Ways to Contribute
Submit a Correction or Update
If you spot a factual error, missing citation, or broken link, open an issue on the GitHub repository with the page URL, description of the issue, and supporting documentation.
Join the Open Source Project
The site and data pipelines live in a public Git repository. Developers and designers can:
- Improve accessibility and performance
- Build new visualizations for the timeline, network, or statistics sections
- Add new structured content entries
See the GitHub organization at github.com/modpol and check the help wanted issues. New contributors should review the README before submitting a pull request.
Submission Guidelines
- Provide citations for any new claims or data points
- Note any potential conflicts of interest
- Indicate whether you prefer to be credited publicly or remain anonymous
- For large datasets, describe the collection methodology, licensing terms, and known limitations
