Modern Politics is an experimental solo project, but contributions and feedback are welcome. If you notice gaps, errors, or have relevant sources to share, there are a few ways to help.

No expertise is expected or required. What the project asks for instead is a source: if you can point at something that says what your correction claims, that is enough for it to be checked and acted on.

Ways to Contribute

Submit a Correction or Update

Use the feedback button at the bottom of any page. It files a report against the project’s issue tracker with the page URL, a category, and whatever you write. Include the sentence at issue and, where you can, a source that supports the correction — that is the difference between a report that can be acted on and one that cannot.

Missing citations and broken links are worth reporting too. Citation coverage on entity pages is thin and known to be thin; see Methodology & Sources for where it stands.

Supply a Missing Source

Adding a source to a claim that already exists is a genuinely useful contribution and requires no writing at all. Much of the encyclopedia is uncited, and every claim that gains a citation is one fewer that has to be taken on trust.

Send these through the feedback button as well: name the page, quote the sentence, and give the source. Wikipedia on its own does not count — follow its footnotes to the underlying source instead.

This is a solo-maintained project, so responses may be slow, and not every suggestion will be adopted. That is worth knowing before you spend an evening on something.

Report a Security Problem

Reports filed through the feedback button are public, so do not put the details of a security problem in one. Send a report saying only that you have a security issue and how to reach you privately, and the details can be exchanged from there. This is a solo-maintained project with no security team and no on-call, so a response may take time.

Submission Guidelines

• Provide citations for any new claims or data points, and prefer primary sources over reporting about them
• Follow the neutrality and tone rules described in Methodology & Sources — no political labels, no editorial commentary, no guessed dates
• Note any potential conflicts of interest
• Indicate whether you prefer to be credited publicly or remain anonymous
• For large datasets, describe the collection methodology, licensing terms, and known limitations
