Comedy podcast begins publishing; funded by listener subscriptions.
Cum Town began publishing in 2016, hosted by comedians Nick Mullen and Stavros Halkias, with Adam Friedland joining subsequently, and was funded through Patreon subscriptions. The show ran until 2022.
Sourcing for this entry is thin. Only the show’s own subscription page could be verified; the commonly cited launch date of 11 May 2016 traces to catalogue listings rather than to a primary record, so the date here is year-only. The entry previously described the show as blending comedy with “leftist discourse” and as a “major force” in internet culture; neither characterisation could be attributed to a source and both have been removed rather than restated.
