About Breaking Points

Breaking Points is a news and commentary show hosted by Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti, both formerly of Rising at The Hill. The earliest item in its podcast feed, an introduction episode, is dated 30 May 2021; the feed held 1,661 items as of 1 September 2026, published on most weekdays.

The show describes itself in its feed as “a fearless anti-establishment multi-week Youtube and Podcast which holds the powerful to account.”

Business Model

Breaking Points sells a direct subscription through its own site — 10amonth,10 a month, 7.50 a month billed annually, or a $1,500 lifetime tier — offering ad-free and early access, full-length episodes, subscriber AMAs and a newsletter. Its subscription page invites readers to “join the independent media revolution” and promises “no ads and absolutely zero corporate sponsors.”

Distribution and Corporate Relationship

That self-description sits alongside a distribution arrangement the page should record. The show’s podcast feed carries the copyright line “2026 iHeartMedia, Inc.,” links to an iHeart.com show page, and is listed in the Apple Podcasts directory under the publisher iHeartPodcasts. The relationship’s commercial terms are not published, and this page does not characterize them; but the previous version of this page asserted “complete editorial independence from corporate backing” and content produced “free from corporate editorial constraints,” and those assertions are not supportable against the feed’s own metadata.

Sourcing Note

Removed as unsourceable: the reach line “1 million YouTube subscribers, #1 political podcast,” the claim of “#1 political podcast status within one week of launch,” and the claim of reaching a million YouTube subscribers by 2023 — no primary source for any of these could be fetched. Also removed are the descriptions of the hosts as providing “left-populist” and “right-populist” perspectives in the project’s own voice, and four paragraphs asserting the show’s influence on other creators and on “media decentralization.”
