One America News Network is a cable news channel operated by Herring Networks, Inc. The most thoroughly documented facts about it are the court records it has generated, in each direction.

Litigation

As plaintiff. In March 2016 Herring Networks sued AT&T Services, Inc. in the Central District of California over carriage — Herring Networks, Inc. v. AT&T Services, Inc., No. 2:16-cv-01636, terminated in March 2017. In September 2019 it sued the cable-news host Rachel Maddow in the Southern District of California — Herring Networks, Inc. v. Maddow, No. 3:19-cv-01713, terminated in February 2021.

As defendant. In August 2021 US Dominion, Inc. brought a defamation action against Herring Networks in the District of Columbia — US Dominion, Inc. v. Herring Networks, Inc., No. 1:21-cv-02130 — which the docket records as terminated on 14 October 2025. Related miscellaneous proceedings were opened in the District of South Carolina and the Southern District of Florida during 2024. Herring Networks has been a defendant in other actions, including Seidman v. Herring Networks, Inc. (S.D. Cal., 2024) and Halderman v. Herring Networks, Inc. (E.D. Mich., 2024, appealed to the Sixth Circuit as No. 25-1531).

The founded: 2013 value and the 4 July 2013 launch date are removed, as are the reach line “peak estimated 150,000-500,000 viewers (company claims)”, the founding attribution to Robert Herring Sr. and the San Diego headquarters.

The description and much of the body applied political characterizations the project does not assert — “pro-Trump coverage,” programming “that support[s] conservative political positions and challenges to election processes,” “emphasis on election integrity” — and none was sourced. All are removed.

The directv connection, described as OANN’s “primary distribution partner providing 90% of revenue until 2022,” is removed on two grounds: the slug does not resolve to a page in this knowledge base, and the 90% figure has no source. The underlying carriage relationship is real and evidenced by the 2016 AT&T litigation cited above, which is what this page now says instead. The claim that DirecTV and Verizon Fios dropped the channel in 2022 is also removed pending a source; it is the single most consequential fact about the channel’s distribution and deserves a proper citation rather than an assertion.
