This Week with George Stephanopoulos is ABC News’ Sunday morning discussion programme. Its own podcast feed, published by ABC Audio, describes it as “ABC News’ pre-eminent Sunday morning discussion program, anchored by George Stephanopoulos, Martha Raddatz, and Jonathan Karl,” featuring “newsmaker interviews, in the field reporting, and panel discussions and analysis on a wide range of domestic and global issues.”

Full episodes are released weekly on Sundays and distributed as audio alongside the broadcast.

Sourcing Note

This page has been reduced substantially. The previous version ran to fourteen sections and roughly 7 KB, almost none of it sourceable: it asserted the programme’s “booking power,” that its “question setting… affect[s] political narrative and media coverage,” that candidates “frequently use appearances to announce presidential campaigns,” that foreign leaders use it “to communicate with American political audiences,” and that it serves a “democratic function.” It also carried an unattributed criticism section (“false balance,” “elite focus”) and a “future evolution” section speculating about audience demographics and format change. None named a source, an instance or a critic, and all have been removed.

Removed with them: the founded: 1981 value and the reach line “2-3 million weekly viewers,” neither of which any fetchable source supports; the host-era history (David Brinkley 1981–1996; Sam Donaldson and Cokie Roberts; Stephanopoulos from 2009); and the competitive comparisons with Meet the Press and Face the Nation. The page’s name has been corrected to the programme’s actual title, and Martha Raddatz and Jonathan Karl added as anchors — the previous version named only Stephanopoulos.
