Cenk Uygur founded and hosts The Young Turks, and has twice been a candidate for office as a Democrat.

The feed’s most useful property is its length. Retrieved on 1 September 2026, it retained 2,225 episodes running continuously from 10 November 2017 to the day of retrieval, at roughly daily cadence. Whatever else is claimed about the show, the record of a daily political news programme published outside broadcast infrastructure for nearly nine consecutive years is documented in the feed itself.

The Federal Election Commission holds two candidate records for Uygur, both as a Democrat:

• President, 2024 (candidate ID P40015752), with cycle receipts of $547,713.67 and disbursements of the same figure

The presidential run is the more interesting entry, because Uygur was born outside the United States and the eligibility question was live throughout it. The FEC record establishes the candidacy and its finances; it does not resolve the constitutional question, and this page does not either.
