Ethan Oliver Ralph is a blogger and internet personality based in Virginia who gained prominence through his website The Ralph Retort and his livestreaming show the Killstream.

The Ralph Retort and Gamergate (2014-2016)

Ralph launched The Ralph Retort as a blog covering online culture and gaming controversies. The site gained significant readership during the Gamergate movement in 2014, as Ralph provided frequent coverage and commentary on the unfolding events. The blog covered topics related to gaming journalism and online discourse.

The Killstream

Ralph transitioned into livestreaming with the Killstream, a show that featured discussions of internet drama, online personalities, and political topics. The show built an audience and featured a rotating cast of guests from various corners of online political commentary. The Killstream was initially hosted on YouTube before Ralph moved to alternative platforms including DLive and other streaming services after facing restrictions on mainstream platforms.

Platform Migration

Ralph’s shows were removed or suspended from multiple platforms over the course of his career. After losing access to YouTube, he moved the Killstream to DLive, where the show continued to draw viewers and generate revenue through the platform’s donation system. He subsequently moved to additional platforms as his accounts were removed from others.

In 2015, Ralph was arrested in Virginia on charges of assaulting a police officer. He was convicted in 2016 and served a jail sentence. In 2021, Ralph faced additional legal proceedings related to the non-consensual distribution of intimate images, resulting in further legal consequences.
