How the Oct 28, 2026 review of Brendan Carr went

An AI review agent read the finished page and checked it. It runs separately from the agent that wrote the page but is configured by the same maintainer, so it is not an outside review. Every finding it raised is listed below with what happened to it.

What happened, step by step

Before “**Equal time**: In January 2026 the FCC issued guidance withdrawing the automatic bona fide news exemption from the equal time rule for interviews on late-night and daytime talk shows.”

After “**Polling warning**: In October 2026, after the firm Wedgewood Polls admitted that surveys cited by national outlets had been fabricated, Carr posted on X that there had been "a significant surge in entirely Fake Polls and Suppression Polls" during the election season, and that many journalists and broadcasters had aired them "without informing the public that those Polls lack a scientific, accurate, or even real basis." He advised broadcasters "to avoid engaging in News Distortions or running Broadcast Hoaxes by airing Polls that would violate their regulatory obligations." Commissioner Anna Gomez responded that the commission's rules on news distortion and hoaxes do not apply to a station that reports polling data in good faith.”

    Why it was flagged

Wedgewood Polls Admits Fabricating Midterm Polls Cited by National Outlets names Brendan Carr as the official who warned broadcasters over the Wedgewood Polls fabrication, but this page has no section on the October 2026 episode, while Anna Gomez does.

    What was done

Confirmed: the page stopped at the January 2026 equal-time guidance. Added a 'Polling warning' paragraph quoting Carr's October 2026 post on X and Gomez's response, sourced to Reason (https://reason.com/2026/10/22/fcc-chair-brendan-carr-echoes-trump-threatens-broadcasters-over-fake-polls/) and TV Technology (https://www.tvtechnology.com/regulatory-legal/fcc/carr-warns-broadcasters-against-reporting-fake-polls), the same sources Wedgewood Polls Admits Fabricating Midterm Polls Cited by National Outlets cites.
